Guilin Li River Cruise Tips
The Li River Cruise is anywhere between 4 and 5 hours and when you are cruising you can sit back, relax, enjoy the fresh air and appreciate all the many landscapes and caves along the way. It is actually more enjoyable to take this boat ride when it is raining due to the mist that covers the river – although on the sunny days, you can get a better idea of how clear the river water is and how it reflects all the landscape.
Along the way during the Li River Cruise you may see fishermen on rafts catching duck and fish. There are locals that live on both sides of the river and on the shores you will see that there are deep pools, with waterfalls and resting areas. The mountains that outline are river stand very high, and they have quite a lot of shrubs and flowers. From far away you can see the evergreen, bamboo and the many shapes that locals claim to see in rocks and in caves.
Those who do enjoy Guilin travel enjoy the rich history, culture and belief behind it. There are many celebrities who have come here as well; years ago there were artists and poets who would come to this area, bestow their eyes upon some of the nature that the city had to offer and feel inspired.
Guilin tour is said to be a paradise on earth and even if you can only be there for a few days it is highly recommended that you visit the Li River and take a cruise to witness all of the natural beauty all along the side of the water. It’s also recommended that you see the Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill (which you can see on the river) and the Seven Star Park.
There is a special little town called the Yangshuo that is located right alongside the Li River and if you prefer, you can get a bicycle and ride through the countryside for Guilin travel. In the evening you can go to the Earth Village and enjoy some tea while experiencing the culture with the people and local stores. It is also recommended that you go to the Guangxi Province which has a natural beauty to it although there are a lot of people here who will dress up in costumes and entertain the tourists. There are seasonal variations of this place but it is beautiful throughout the year.
